IT Consulting
Advisory and IT services seen from the side that sells them: the end of time & materials, the analysts' blind spot, and what a provider knows and cannot say.
I’m a partner in an IT services company, so I write about advisory from the wrong side of the table: the side that has built, priced, delivered and defended a service in front of an unhappy client. Traditional sourcing advisory has a structural blind spot, time & materials is ending because AI broke the link between hours and value, and the client is almost always wrong in a way that is worth listening to. Here is what a provider knows and an analyst never will.
