Work
Work in tech without the rhetoric: work-life balance that doesn't exist, upskilling that isn't enough, and the luxury of saying I don't know.
Tech celebrates work-life balance on its corporate pages and then demotes the fathers who actually take leave. It promises upskilling and then puts retrained people inside structures designed for another era. I have crossed this profession from developer to partner and I have one certainty: competence shows in those who can say I don’t know, not in those who answer at once. Here I write about careers, hiring, and what AI does and doesn’t know about the work we actually do.
